My first semester ends on Wednesday. When I recalled my learning outcome, it was a long list. Unlike high school lessons, colleges' modules are somehow interesting, live, fun and applicable in our daily life. Of course, it is still depends on how well the lecturers give out the messages.
I looked at my next semester's schedule. It is long. The classes are packed. Well, I better get ready for more challeges.

Drama Presentation Day
Talks about acting, I never consider myself is a good actor, maybe I have low sense of humour. I had conducted many meetings and rehearsals with my teammates. I believed that we can improve our acting skills if we kept on practice it.
Okay, back to the drama presentation. Our drama, "The Blue Puma" is about the crime scene investigation. Well, it isn't a murder case, but to retrieve a jewel named 'Blue Puma'. It's something similar to "The Pink Panther".
I act as the main character, the Detective. Hey, guess what, I was imitating CSI Miami's Horatio's style!! You know, with a blazer, sunglasses, glock, and with 'stylish' and 'cool' postures. Awesomes, Cool and Fun!!!!
The drama ended with my speech "Yeap, story of my life..." while wearing the sunglasses.
At least my "Horatio Style" wins applauses from the audience. It's the greatest motivation to me. Thank you very much!
Throughout the six groups of presentations, I can see different group of people have different stories, styles and tastes.
For example, some present in the humour ways; girl's group tends to present the romantic fairy tales; wheareas my group, tends to present in the "cool" ,"stylish" , and "professional social level" ways.
After all, everyone has done a good job. We were actually having FUN rather than treated it as the course assignment!

An Inspiring Workshop
My friends and I went to a workshop held in APIIT auditorium in the afternoon just now. The workshop is titled 'Live to Win-7 Ingredients to Success' while the speaker is Mr Wong Yoon Kiong. A trainer, I suppose.
Anyway, before it began, we noticed that the speaker's eyes have some problem. Yes, he is blind. A workshop which is conducted by a blind man!
Generally, he shared his personal experience and the ways to success, throughout this workshop. The contents are so inspiring and true! He did not give up before, even though his blind, even though he was discouraged or demotivated. He pursued his study to master and was engaged into MAS company before. Now, he works as a trainer who give talks to other companies and colleges.
Even a blind man can success. Hence, as normal people, we should live and do better than him!
Initially, I was wondering how was he going to give a talk without a sight? Throughout the 2-hours workshop, he already proved to the audience, he can still give speech as a normal lecturer! For example, he can speak according to slides; he can even know there are people writing for note!
Okay, that really surprise me. As he said, "Walking by Vision Not by Sights!"
This workshop was a great success as it ended with loud applause by the audience. I can tell that whoever absent from this section, it was a big lost to them.
I guess I earn another meaningful day after all.

Think Out of the Box
Today, my lecturer has come out with a question. He said creativity is required.
It took me a long time. However, I still unable to solve it. Perhaps, I have no creativity at all, haha. Well, after 30 minutes only one student solved it.
This question is quite interesting. It looks hard, but the solution is very simple. Now, I upload the question here and you can try to solve it.

Instruction:
1. Take out a piece of paper.
2. Draw nine dots as shown in the figure.
3. Connect all nine dots ONLY USING 4 LINES.
4. You are not allowed to lift up your hand.
5. Enjoy yourself.

Blogger’s Posts reflect Author’s Characteristics
Since I start a BLOGGER account, I notice that every post shows its author’s characteristics. Perhaps, there is some exception, I guess.
Well, back to the topic. Let’s take my blog as an example. Each post is written in a formal style, fueled with logical sense, and sometimes deep enough for the readers to reflect the topics. Through reading my blog pages, readers can presume what kind of person am I.
Of course I am not boosting my writing skill, by the way. Well, I guess people who have similar style of writing are rare enough, aren’t they?

Mirror
I believe that some people like to look at the mirror ---just to check out their appearances. Well, I admit I'm one of them, but there is also something which differs us.
People normally utilise mirror when brushing their teeth, changing clothes, combing their hairs, looking at their gorgeous faces, practise speeches or whatever.
I check out my reflection at the end of the day. I flashback what I have constributed that day. By looking at the mirror, I see the unseen. And from the unseen, i learn, and hence improve myself.
Perhaps, I am an introspective man. Hence, mirror has become a vital item in my life.

Opportunity
Everyone is given opportunities in his or her life. These opportunities can be classified into simple and precious opportunities.
Precious opportunity, it is something special which not everybody deserves it. It is something serious which will definitely affect the rest of your life.
Opportunity is just like a gamble. If you are able to understand, cherish and handle the opportunity well, you will be honored and rewarded. Otherwise, you will be humiliated and gibed by society. Well, as such, the greater the opportunity, the greater the impact towards your life.
For example, in a manager is given an opportunity to promote and increase the income of his company. First, he accepts the opportunity and start working on it. If he does help the company to increase its profit, he might be promoted and become the CEO! However, if he failed, the company will have less confidence to this person, meanwhile, his colleagues might look down to him.
Of course, there is another group of people, who will never accept any opportunities. “Do less, wrong less.” This is their common thought. Well, what can I say is, this kind of people will never improve themselves. They don’t even have the courage to attempt the opportunities. How will they succeed?
As I said, some opportunities are very precious. If you do not cherish them, they might be taken by the others. When you notice it, it is all already too late. As an advice, never let go any precious opportunities.
Everyone is gifted opportunities by God, so do you. Accept it, or not, it depends on you, but before you decide, please think. Opportunities will change your fate.

Leader & Members
I had a monolog one day:
“I am the leader. I lead you, dispense the tasks, and make vital decisions. You just have to do what I said.”
“Yes, you are our leader, but you are nothing without us!”
It is true that followers need to depend on the leader to lead them. Similarly, the leader needs the members' supports!
An organization will never carry out its functions without the cooperation of leader and the members. As a conclusion, both leader and members are vital in an organization.

A leader's thought
“Why must I listen to you?” This is the common thought which appears when a member dissatisfies with the leader.
“Can you understand my feeling?” This is another thought which shows up in a leader’s mind.
Let’s talk about the leader’s paradox situation first:
Some leaders are serious when leading their teams. In actual fact, they are stern so that the members will listen to their instructions.
Sadly, some people misunderstand them and then assume that all leaders are arrogant.
However, please think deeper, if the leader behaves too soft, will people listen to his instruction?
I guess no one will listen to him.
Well, what the members cannot see is, leaders are always loaded with tons of responsibilities.
Almost three times the stress in the members. Leaders have to carry extra responsibilities such as motivate the team, make vital decisions, making sure the followers are doing their jobs and then gather and refine their works !
Well, being a leader might be an honor, but a leader’s exhaustion is hardly appreciated.

BLOGing
Blog is so reputed nowadays. Generally students, young adults and adults are the authers of blogs. if you do not have one account, you might be considered as outdated. Well, of course, in this modern era, please do not expect people to flip a diary page every night. In the other words, blogs have become a media which take over the role of diaries.
Writing a blog requires consistency. Just like writing a diary. Lazyness is the greatest resistance. Or soon, you will find out your diary is covered by a thick layer of dust, left at the lonely corner of your bedroom.
Okay, back to our discussion. What is a BLOG anyway? I searched my Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary 6th Edition. The result is, nothing. No such word in my favourite dictionary. Too bad. Perhaps, it might be a new word - a networking-based vocaburary. Then, I key it into the Google search. A blog, a type of website, maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. (Source:Wikipedia)
However, for what I know so far, people more likely to treat them as the online diaries. People can write whatever they like in their blogs, but of course, races and political issues are always forbiddened. Anyway, people can seek for freedom in blog, at least not in a ridiculous way. Besides, I am wondering if writing a blog can refine my writing skills or not. It sounds something new to me. Perhaps, these are the inspirations to me to start BLOGing
