End of the first semester

My first semester ends on Wednesday. When I recalled my learning outcome, it was a long list. Unlike high school lessons, colleges' modules are somehow interesting, live, fun and applicable in our daily life. Of course, it is still depends on how well the lecturers give out the messages.

I looked at my next semester's schedule. It is long. The classes are packed. Well, I better get ready for more challeges.

Drama Presentation Day

Talks about acting, I never consider myself is a good actor, maybe I have low sense of humour. I had conducted many meetings and rehearsals with my teammates. I believed that we can improve our acting skills if we kept on practice it.

Okay, back to the drama presentation. Our drama, "The Blue Puma" is about the crime scene investigation. Well, it isn't a murder case, but to retrieve a jewel named 'Blue Puma'. It's something similar to "The Pink Panther".

I act as the main character, the Detective. Hey, guess what, I was imitating CSI Miami's Horatio's style!! You know, with a blazer, sunglasses, glock, and with 'stylish' and 'cool' postures. Awesomes, Cool and Fun!!!!

The drama ended with my speech "Yeap, story of my life..." while wearing the sunglasses.
At least my "Horatio Style" wins applauses from the audience. It's the greatest motivation to me. Thank you very much!

Throughout the six groups of presentations, I can see different group of people have different stories, styles and tastes.
For example, some present in the humour ways; girl's group tends to present the romantic fairy tales; wheareas my group, tends to present in the "cool" ,"stylish" , and "professional social level" ways.

After all, everyone has done a good job. We were actually having FUN rather than treated it as the course assignment!

An Inspiring Workshop

My friends and I went to a workshop held in APIIT auditorium in the afternoon just now. The workshop is titled 'Live to Win-7 Ingredients to Success' while the speaker is Mr Wong Yoon Kiong. A trainer, I suppose.

Anyway, before it began, we noticed that the speaker's eyes have some problem. Yes, he is blind. A workshop which is conducted by a blind man!

Generally, he shared his personal experience and the ways to success, throughout this workshop. The contents are so inspiring and true! He did not give up before, even though his blind, even though he was discouraged or demotivated. He pursued his study to master and was engaged into MAS company before. Now, he works as a trainer who give talks to other companies and colleges.

Even a blind man can success. Hence, as normal people, we should live and do better than him!

Initially, I was wondering how was he going to give a talk without a sight? Throughout the 2-hours workshop, he already proved to the audience, he can still give speech as a normal lecturer! For example, he can speak according to slides; he can even know there are people writing for note!

Okay, that really surprise me. As he said, "Walking by Vision Not by Sights!"

This workshop was a great success as it ended with loud applause by the audience. I can tell that whoever absent from this section, it was a big lost to them.

I guess I earn another meaningful day after all.
